Free Market Solution Trumps

story

This article make a lot of good points. It points out how Medicaid Insurance have made these markets inefficient. Talk about bloat, the approved devices to assist the hearing impaired are bulky, nonfunctional, and when used create other impairments. People who are already suffering from impairments also have to suffer from the humiliation of having to buy a piece of junk that hardly works, and is required to be de-innovated.
The most important point, however is not realized by the author. That is, that there is a device that works, is lightweight, inexpensive, very useful, and forbidden to be bought under the subsidy. Astounding. Talk about government bloat. The people in the article did the right thing and just bought it themselves. However, this shows how these subsidies can go wrong and why they should limited.
The free market alternative wins in this case.
